With an easy-to-learn and fun routine, Daily Health & Well-Being with Qigong/Tai Chi sessions held at Masonic Village at Dallas are simple to incorporate into the busiest of schedules. Instructor Mark Reinhart covers a daily practice designed for mature fitness needs, including elements of both Qigong and Tai Chi. The program focuses on overall health and wellness from the Chinese perspective and provide a vehicle to cultivate a calm and peaceful heart.
It includes health tips, exercises and gentle movements that benefit circulation, balance, lymphatic health, breath, immune system and digestion. The routine consists of a warm-up, swinging movements and exercises for overall regulation balance. The session includes “Streaming Qigong” for participants to follow along with and enjoy music, and handouts listing all exercises.
Reinhart has been involved in the Eastern healing, martial and philosophical arts since the late 1960s. He has been a professional member of the National Qiqong Association since 2006, serving on its board of directors for seven years and as president for four years, and served on the NQA advisory council for six years. A Tai Chi for Health® program’s 2008 scholarship award winner, Reinhart has been teaching Qigong and Tai Chi from the Arthritis Foundation® in Northeastern Pennsylvania for 20 years.
